Audit Manager (Asset Management)

About the role

A top accountancy firm in Cayman is seeking an audit manager for its asset management practice.

​

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of audit clients and will report directly to the Partners and Directors. The role will involve ensuring the team produce quality audit files which are on-time and on-budget, along with building client relationships and coaching junior staff.

 

Main responsibilities include (list not exhaustive):

 

  • Managing a large and complex client portfolio of mainly asset management engagements; 

  • Providing a quality, risk-focussed review of audit work;

  • Coaching and mentoring junior staff;

  • Responsible for ensuring engagements are delivered on time and within budget, whilst ensuring the engagement file is completed to a high standard;

  • Reviewing financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS;

  • Providing technical guidance to the team;  

  • Maintaining and building client relationships; 

  • Ensuring engagements are appropriately staffed;

  • Creating and delivering client presentations and proposals.

The requirements

  • Applicants must hold a recognised professional accounting designation (ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA);

  • At least 4-5 years of external audit experience in a Big 4/top 10 firm primarily on asset management audits;

  • Experience working on crypto/digital asset fund audits (required);

  • Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, US GAAS and ISA;

  • Currently working as an audit manager;

  • Strong work ethic;

  • Excellent management and communication skills along with technical competence;

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.

Compensation and benefits

A competitive remuneration package (salary approximately US$90,000 - 110,000 paid tax free) that is commensurate with qualifications and experience, relocation and work permit package (if required), and a comprehensive medical scheme amongst other benefits.
