Senior Tax Manager (Corporate/Insurance) - BERMUDA

About the role

You will manage a portfolio of key clients on a day-to-day basis with a focus on high-quality delivery and leading with integrity to build inclusion, motivation, and develop team members' capabilities. You will use their expertise in taxation to provide compliance and consulting services to US and foreign partnerships and corporations. You must have extensive experience providing tax services and have the professionalism necessary for the effective diagnosis, solution development and implementation for clients' tax needs. You will be expected to have advanced knowledge of the relevant industry and US tax regulations and play an active role in business development activities and management of the Tax practice.

The requirements

  • Applicants must hold a recognised professional accounting designation (ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA, JD/LLM, Enrolled Agent).

  • At least 7 years of U.S. tax experience in a Big 4/top 10 firm.

  • At least 3 years in a managerial position.

  • Exposure and understanding of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code with in-depth experience in the broader (Re)insurance Industry.

  • Advanced technical knowledge of US international tax compliance and US internal revenue code.

  • Experience in assisting with the development of new business.

Preferred 

 

  • Knowledge of OECD Pillar Two global minimum tax initiatives.

  • History of supporting audit teams as a tax specialist – preferably on SEC engagements.

  • Experience with ASC 740 and SSAP 101.

  • Experience in US taxation of investment products and services, including hedge funds, and/or US taxation of insurance companies.

Compensation and benefits

A competitive income tax free* remuneration package that is commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with a relocation and work permit package.

*There is no income tax in Bermuda only a small payroll tax.
