Audit Manager or Senior Manager (Crypto/Digital Assets)

About the role

One of our clients, a well-regarded mid-tier accountancy firm in the Cayman Islands, is looking to grow and further develop its Digital Assets team. They are keen to speak with candidates at Audit Manager and Senior Manager levels.

The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of audit clients and will report directly to the Partners and Directors. The role will involve ensuring the team produce quality audit files which are on time and on budget, along with building client relationships and coaching junior staff.

 

Main responsibilities include (list not exhaustive):

 

  • Managing a portfolio of mainly asset management engagements, with a particular focus on crypto/digital asset space.

  • Helping to grow and develop the digital assets audit practice.

  • Providing a quality, risk-focussed review of audit work.

  • Coaching and mentoring junior staff.

  • Responsible for ensuring engagements are delivered on time and within budget, whilst ensuring the engagement file is completed to a high standard.

  • Reviewing financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.

  • Providing technical guidance to the team.

  • Maintaining and building client relationships. 

  • Ensuring engagements are appropriately staffed.

  • Creating and delivering client presentations and proposals.

The requirements

  • An internationally recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CA(SA), CA, etc.).

  • Extensive experience auditing crypto/digital asset funds (exposure to digital asset service providers is highly desirable).

  • Currently working in external audit with at least 5+ years’ experience (Manager) or 7+ years’ experience (Senior Manager).

  • Based in a leading financial services centre for crypto/digital asset funds (Cayman Islands, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, UK, USA, Canada, Gibraltar, Hong Kong, Singapore).

  • Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills.
