US Tax Senior
(Asset Management) - Cayman Islands

About the role

A top firm in the Cayman Islands is seeking a US Tax (Asset Management) Senior. ​​

​

You will be responsible for advising clients on U.S. reporting rules so they can meet their compliance responsibilities and serve investor tax reporting needs across a wide range of areas, including hedge funds, private equity funds and captive insurance. Reporting to and providing support to the tax partners and senior management, the successful candidate will participate in and supervise the preparation of U.S. income tax returns. This role is expected to involve preparation of U.S. federal, state, and international disclosures and forms, including Form 1120, 1120-PC, 1065, 8621, 8865/8858 and 5471, and will include supervision of tax staff and providing tax advisory services.

The requirements

  • At least 3+ years’ US tax experience at a Big Four or Top 10 accountancy firm.

  • Holds an internationally recognized professional accounting or legal qualification: CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA, JD/LLM or Enrolled Agent (EA).

  • Exposure and understanding of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code with experience serving clients in the wealth & asset management industry, which may include mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity funds or other investment vehicles.
