A top accountancy firm in Cayman is seeking an audit director for its financial services practice mainly working on asset management external audit engagements with a particular focus on crypto/digital asset fund audits. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Overseeing multiple audit teams, ensuring the teams complete engagements in a timely manner within budget.

• Technical expert for audit assignments, providing advice to audit team and client.

• Controlling time spent and monitoring actual time within budget.

• People management - coaching, feedback, performance management, training and development, engaging high performing teams.

• Maintains control and stability under pressure whilst recognising the deadline or urgency.

• Ensure high standards and procedures maintained by the whole team.

• Engaging in business development including preparing presentations to win new work and providing prospective clients with advice and guidance.

• Applicants must hold a recognised professional accounting designation (ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA);

• At least 8 years of external audit experience in a Big 4/top 10 firm primarily on asset management audits;

• Currently at the Director level; 

• Strong knowledge  and experience of crypto/digital asset audits is essential;

• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, US GAAS and ISA.
